Monday, April 8, 1:30 p.m. Waldport Public Library Presents: Poetry Reading with Marjorie Power. Colorado poet Marjorie Power spent much of her adult life in various parts of the Pacific Northwest, including three years on the central Oregon coast. Its landscape and residents continue to inspire her. Marjorie's poems appear in journals, anthologies, chapbooks and full length collections. Her latest is ONCOMING HALOS, Kelsay Books, 2018. Friends of the Waldport Public Library present: Karin Bolender Hart, artist-researcher, writer, teacher, with The Oregon Humanities Conversation Project: “Sharing Our Lives with Animals” and Friends Silent Auction. The auction will have local donations from: Oregon Coast Aquarium, Chinook Winds, Marine Discovery Tours, fish print art works by local artists Margaret Paz-Partlow and Heather Fortner, photography print by Mark Mcllwain, drawing by Mary Frisbee Johnson, Sweet Soaks bath works, and more. Refreshments served.
